the simple things

Well, we are now in base housing- in between our house in Bossier and the new house in Albuquerque. The movers came and packed up our house and the house was emptied. We are now living the month of December with the basics...clothes, Rachel has her legos and a few books, Christina her DS, etc. We will be reacquainted with the rest of our belongings in January. I must say that it really is kind of cool...we are not nearly as distracted by all of our stuff.

In preparing for our new house, I am trying to discern some things. We are moving into a house that is almost twice the size of the house that we lived in for ten years. Now I am faced with the dilemma of how much is too much?

Hey Guh!
Wanting to give your family more space isn't too much I don't think. Yes, it is much bigger, but think about how packed everything was together. You know all that fung shui stuff about how rooms are decorated and arranged? well, the more space around and between your furniture, the more naturally relaxed someone is. So think of it as an automatic stress relief! (Unless of course you are planning to pack it with as much stuff as you can possibly get your hands on, but I doubt that)
